Yeah. It's me. I've been getting some very handy advice as you've no-doubt seen?

I went on a bit of a shop today. Bought some turps, lithium grease spray, some felt pads etc

Have already taken the focuser off the scope. Am about to clean it down ... give it a new lube job... put some new teflon strip inside to eliminate a bit o' the jiggle LOL

I'll try everything before I decide "what the hell ... let's buy a crayford"!!!

I've actually enjoyed pulling it apart. It's pretty basic actually. Now just to get it set up right.

Mate, you were right. This is a terrific little website. I'll learn plenty here. I've not been able to get on the astronomyonline forum site the last few days. I think it's crashed?

How you been? You pulled that all-niter with mars yet? Where are the pics? Eh? Eh????
