TrueBlue's BHP's are really nice.. Mine are NT locale BHP's bred by Dens on APS.. I use the same user name on APS as I do here as well, although I don't post much on there.. I find that a lot of people are happy to give advise on things they know very little about, and that can be very dangerous when you're talking about the well being of an animal...
I'll get pics of Snappy as soon as I clean out the enclosure... I've got to milk her in the next week or so, I'll likely clean the enclosure at the same time to get all the stressful activities for the month out of the way in one day.. I must say, I loved Taipans untill I got Snappy.. Within two weeks of having her, I found out why they are called the Fierce Snake, and why they are so feared.. Its literally a minute before you start feeling the effects of what could be described as a very shy warning strike... If She gets really angry and actually gives you a fair bite, its a matter of seconds before you are light headed and getting dizzy and disorientated...
I have a very healthy respect for her, and what she's capable of.. any handling is done just after a feed when she's a little sluggish and seems a lot more placid.. She's a beautiful creature to watch, and she's definitely calming down as she gets more settled (I've only had her for 4 weeks now.. )
I must say, I love snakes, I think they are one of the best creatures roaming the planet, but my love for lizards far outweighs my love for snakes.. I have 2x NT frill neck hatchies, 2x central beardies, 1 eastern water dragon hatchy and am on the look out for a sub adult/juvi lace monitor... That would round out my collection then...
