Thanks very much Marc, just goes to show that very oppressive hot weather can still provide reasonable seeing. The DMK is really good value for money to dip your toe in the planetary imaging puddle to see if it is for you or not.

You can obviously identify most features because I suppose the IR
signature would probably be similar to the visible albedo of most
common objects, but having said that, remember that a lot of cloud
etc is sometimes seen over low lying areas in the colder dawn.
I remember reading this once about the Hellas Basin and
other areas.
Might be worth remembering when trying to pinpoint what something is
on your images.
Your resolution is so incredible for 8 arc sec that you may very well
be imaging transient features such as dawn cloud, localised dust storms
etc.....
I did a few animations 2003 and 2005, I will try and dig them out
for you.
Incredibly impressed!

Steve
Thanks for the very kind words Steve,

I think I need to put some time in checking out images posted from previous oppositions to get an idea of what dust storms or dawn cloud look like. There seems to be some small but quite well defined features in my images that are hard to put a tag on when comparing the image with my wall chart.
