To cut a very long story short, I reckon I'm at my feasible maximum mag now Dave. It takes my 5-10 mins to get mars in the camera screen as it is I get 20 mins of battery power on the camera..No doubt I have to concentrate more so on perfect alignment of the finder versus the camera view.. I was thinking of dropping back to about 350X to make it easier. @ 400 + mag everything is REAL touchy, one tiny gust of wind & mars moves while your shooting heaps. I think I need to use a wider view EP such as my 5mm LV which should help with this. The 5mm barlowed will give me 640X ??
I don't think I'll be able to pull it off @ that mag!? I need slewing on both axis, & a motorized focuser!
