I have been talking to J-P for quite some time on the QHY forums.. It was his work, and his work alone that made me decide that the KAF-8300 sensor was what I wanted... He was the first person to get an APOD with a QHY8 camera, with his HST pallete 3 panel mosaic (at 300mm F/2.8) of the Cygnus region, he's also been lucky enough to snag 2 more APOD's using his fork mounted SCT with the QHY9...
His narrowband processing technique is actually rather involved, however after conversing with him about it, I've realised that although its involved, it simply works.. He gave me some raw data to try it out with, and its not as hard as it looks... despite my attempt not being anywhere near as good as his, it was easy to see that with some practise it would be a VERY powerful tool for narrowband imaging...
