Meade 14" f/10 LX200R Advanced Ritchey-Chretien OTA with UHTC
Meade LX200R (now called the LX200-ACF UHTC optics) 14” f/10 OTA with UHT coatings - $4500 + shipping (approx. $300 nation wide)
This scope was purchased in Nov 15 2006 and is in as new condition except for one problem – the mirror lock never functioned correctly from the beginning. I have never been game to remove the corrector and mirror to see what’s wrong but don’t believe its anything serious. However, I have got around it by using a spring loaded mirror stabilizing bolt which works fine in locking down the mirror.
The scope has always been permanently mounted inside an observatory.
