Is the UK Mail service on strike, and how bad is it affecting local and international services?
I've just purchased an item on eBay, which I need in about two weeks. And then the comedy of errors commenced
. After 3 emails requesting the total cost (spanning 4 days), I finally received the full amount and made payment immediately. Then I received an email that the seller is on holidays and not back until next week (another 2 days wasted), then I received an automated message informing me of delays due to the strikes. I'm not complaining as such, more amused at the sequence of events
You know when you get a "feeling" that something is not going to go smoothly from the start?
I must admit I did not hear about it until tonight. I thought postal services only went on strike a week before Xmas? Or is that just an Australian thing?
