Nice image Doug but pushed a bit too hard for the exposure time. Cost you a bit of richness in the colours. There's no subsitute for exposure time. Getting enough exposure time to have a strong enough signal to process is one of the great difficulties of this game. Lots of factors are against getting it - weather, patience, gear reliability, travelling to a site, time off work etc etc. As a rule it seems it is better to spend more time on a worthwhile object than imaging several objects in a night with short exposure time on each. Easy to say, hard to apply as it is easy to get enthused about imaging all the various great targets out there plus
having all the gear setup and working with cloudfree dark skies for a long time is a hard task.
