Using the 200mm lens, so I was a few meters away. Didn't want to distrub him too much. I dropped my bag about 15m away from him. He decided to burrow next to my bag.

My daughter was pretty stoked last week as on the 1 day on our property she fond an echidna, a koala and 2 black snakes.

Strange also how each major continent has their own spikey version, hedgehogs for Euro, porcupines for the US and Africa and our weird version.
This lil' man, did seem a bit shy though. These were the only shots with flash I used. Didn't want to disturb him too much.
