Thanks for the comments, the 10-22mm is an extremly wide lens, even with the 1.6x, at 16mm, it takes in a huge angle of view.

I would love to have tracking with this set-up, longer exposure times, no star trails, soon i hope.

Dave, yes it's mounted on a camera tripod no tracking, fixed and set to 30 second exposure, i thinkthat with the wider lend and less magnification, you might be able to get longer exposure times without too much trailing on the stars, with say a 300mm lens, the exposure time would be less to avoid trails, i think that's right

I have way too much light polution here to get anything much better than this, and registax and neatimage just confuse me no end, need to learn these programs.

The clouds are back again, so no more practice tonight
