New Alloy Reflector
l am in the process of building myself a new 200mm aluminium tube reflector. made from 1mm alloy sheet it will be reinforced with 25mm x 3mm internal rings at each end.
it will also incorporate 8 alloy baffle rings.
the focuser will be a JMI EV1 with temperature compensating Robofocus, the mirror will be housed in an Orion optics 9 point cell with cooling fan.
a Stellavue 13 x 80mm finder will also be fitted, all this will be held in a set of custom made 25mm thick aluminium rings. lts of pics to follow soon.
