It's almost impossible to describe in words the concept of absolute non existence, except in the very limited terms of language. If there wasn't even the thought of nothing/a void, then everything would be moot. There'd be nothing for anything beyond to come from, or exist as/in, let alone for what we define as existence to actually exist. There wouldn't even be a random fluctuation of anything, not even of nothing, for the universe as we know it to come from.
