Simon,

There are miles upon miles upon miles of this type of rolling hill scenery in the Lindis Pass. It is amazing.

Well spotted, I was using both a grad and a circular polariser. I was in such a hurry to get he last rays that I completely forgot to dial down the effect of the polariser. Still, I have plenty of leeway in Photoshop to fix it up. I might go back and play with the sky a little and see if I can remove the blemish. The more I look at it the more it annoys me.

The orange sunset warms the scene up nicely.
Were you using a polarising filter or is the darker patch of sky some phenomenon?
Mitchell,

Thank you, sir.

Glad you noticed the snow-covered peaks in the background. In the high resolution original you can see so much detail on the peaks in the rear.

Great composition, excellent sweet-time for lighting, details hold their own up to a large picture format. Excellent work.

On a personal note I love the seemingly progressive tranfer, of the peaks to snow covered in the distance.
David,

Thanks for the critique!

I will have a go at cropping a bit more the grass out. I like it as it is, but, I can see where you're coming from.

I guess for a slightly different perspective you could have cropped further to remove the foreground grass as it doesnt add that much to the picture IMO. the centre piece of the shot is of course the distant mountains which you have framed really well with the hills.
Dave,

Thanks, dude.
