Nah, I love astronomy because to me it's
pure. I realise that sounds a little corny but everything about it is very peaceful and calming to me. I love discovering an object and then looking it up on Stellarium later rather than planning to see it first. I love viewing the planets and tracking down the more obscure ones (I will get you Neptune!). I love getting up before dawn, viewing for a few hours and then watching the sun rise. Most of allI love being outside and in the dark and quiet when my daughter is crying!
I'd like to think that I'm a better person for my interest in the hobby because it's given me a whole new outlook on life in general, our home planet and the fragile nature of the universe.
