Hey all..

Just probing your minds for ideas.. This coming new moon, im headed to dark skies for two nights and do not know yet what I'm going to image... I figure I've got lots of time, and a relatively fast optical system.. So I'd like to image something dim and obscure. The issue is this... I dont know what to go for... I have a fairly epic field of view, 169.2 x 112.5 arc min, so whatever I image needs to be fairly big to be worth doing...

So, what are peoples thoughts... I was thinking about a dark nebula, or a dusty area etc... I plan to spend some time later in the night on M42 (ie. when its high enough to image until dawn on both nights) but it wont be high enough until say 0230hrs, so I've got from 1900hrs till 0230hrs to fill up..

Suggestions!?
