Good luck with Dryandra Brendan, looking forward to more results.. I take it you're planning to add more exposure to the M42 image?

Ha O3 and S2 filters on a DSLR may work, but you're looking at mammoth exposure times.. think 30 minute subs minimum in S2, and probably LOTS of them in order to have a noise free image.. if they were fairly wide filters (somewhere between 15~12nm) you might get away with it, but something in the realms of 7~3nm you'll likely never get enough data with a DSLR... Keep that in mind when trying to sway curtin to spend dollars!
