My condolences Peter, I feel the pain with you mate,
We also lost our cat 0f 10 years a few months ago to kidney failure where the vet could do no more to help and I had to make that same decision. What was really difficult was trying to brace the kids 6 and 8 year olds for it.
Our home feels empty without our little white mate who was always close by.
