I don't know about the rural block guy's.... I think I'm happy to let someone else lose their money on that "investment" and just rent a small patch of land on theirs instead
Besides, unless fully automated I've learned nothing beats being able to walk 2 min out the back yard to the obs (with or without light pollution), even a drive of 30 mins is a deterrent to observe some nights.
