Equatorial Mount's Construction

Ok I would like to collect whats out there on this subject. Please add what you have. I am intrested in finding something that is simple and effective that could become a building project.

There are to my knowledge three types of EQ mounts
GEM, Fork/Wedge, and Split-ring. Then of course there are EQ platforms.

Few that I have found

Dave Gault's one

see attached zip for Autocad Drawings

Simple, effective, cheap..

Fork Equatorial.. Mick Pinner is i think looking at doing this on the Dob buggy. The rocker box becomes the fork on the wedge in his design.

Split Ring design.

More to come..

I will add more as i dig through my bookmarks.. But this is what I have so far.

If any of you out there work in CNC shops, i would like to know what you think would be simplest and cheapest to build also.

Regards
