While I had a spare couple of hours this afternoon I wrote a little fillter program to read out all the NGC an IC objects from the stellarium ngc2000.dat. Sorted by any area in square degrees and selecting either all, galaxies, nebulae or clusters that lie between a given range of magnitudes or size.
Works like magic. I will polish it up and take it to Wiruna
