Funny Chris, but from my angle the 4th of July parade is exactly what you're asking for, because that's where flag-waving patriotism belongs.
If waving the Aussie flag did even one single thing towards making us better people or a better nation, I'd be out doing it now!! Unfortunately, it's all-tip-and-no-iceberg stuff.
But as I said, each to their own, my opinions only - that's one of the great things about living in Australia (now where's that danged Aussie flag waving emoticon when ya need it
