Be aware Vars, that some software, including the software that comes with ALL Canon camera's wont install on anything less than a screen res of 1024*768, netbooks tend to be 1024*600, and although they are great little things, the Intel Aton might run out of legs if your guiding, and RDPin' onto it.
I bought a used Hp 6220 Laptop, Pentium M 2.0Ghz, 1Gb DDR, 14" TFT for $300 and it does all my astro needs just fine.
