If I'd had one of my cameras with me I could have got almost the same shot from the M2 on the way home.
It could have had either the North Epping skyline from east of the tunnel, or the Pennant Hills Rd overpass, or the Baulkham Hills exit. They all face almost exactly west.
The late afternoon sun is blinding from all three of those locations.
