Jupiter Sept 4th + 1hr 52min animation

Hi All,

Watched the footy last night before going out to image.
Conditions, no cloud or wind, the stars did have a bit of a twinkle about them so I didn't expect much but went ahead anyway.

In reality the seeing was not bad, starting at about 5/10 but improving through the middle of the almost 2hr session to about 6 to maybe 6 1/2 / 10 and then dropped off to 5 / 10 at about 1 am CST.

I captured 5 sets of R, G & B avi's and have posted the best two here, taken when the seeing was at its best. My aim was to image at 20 degree longitude CMII increments. I have put the 5 RGB's into an animation which is attached. This clearly demonstrates how the quality of the seeing improved mid session an dropped of again towards the end.

There is some very interesting structures in the North Equatorial Belt as it expands further North.

Tonight is looking even better than last night so, after posting this I am off back down to my observatory to get ready.

Thanks for looking.
Regards
Trevor
