Congratulations, I have an SDM scope and have never been happier. The build quality and craftmanship is superb. The scopes are also rugged. I left mine overnight in the vertical position and a wind gust blew it over. Didn't even lose collimation, how's that for amazing! However, I now make sure that I leave it in the horizontal position with the mirror-lock on. Just a hint if leaving the scope out overnight.
I have a paracorr, but to be honest I don't notice that much flaring without it. Peter Read builds THE BEST scopes.
