It does just fine for guiding there hasn't been a time yet that i couldn't find a star even in the most void of star fields the longest iterations i have had to use is 1 second. 114mm mirror does a good job at that! (i had a look at it for clarity on objects. apart from its LACK of aperature to which im used to its just not that good )

As for guider i picked up a factory seconds Meade DSI ($100 bucks) which works a absolute charm, packed with PHD with .5 second iterations it guides well enough for hour long images with round stars so thats good enough for me!

Im a uni student so the cheapest possible route with the best possible return is what im looking for, for the time being.
