if you have the eq6pro, then you can do whats called a piggy back mounting soloution that is you have your main scope mounted the normal way, though you need to attach the dovetail to the top of the mounting rings of your main scope.

Don't bother with a terrestrial spotting scope they arn't made for astronomical applications. your better off saving your moneys. heres a picture of my setup which is a 10" SW dobsonian with a 4 1/4 DSE toy telescope as a guide scope (its one and only use!).
