Well done. That's a really great image, and love the detail in the craters you've caught. The sharpening you've applied seems to have done a good job. Great definition.

Half the challenge I believe, is capturing the shot with a fair degree of difficulty.

Live view would only "take away" from my task ahead. Maybe that is just me though.

As for the comment about not needing LiveView, wait until you start imaging DSO's. You will come to appreciate what LiveView can do for you. Rather than waste 30 minutes of precious imaging time (as used to be the case when using just DSLR Focus), it takes about 3 minutes, with a Bahtinov mask and LiveView at 200%. A godsend if ever there were one.

As for the difficulty side of it, you should ditch your DSLR and start shooting film again. The way the purists did.
