OK done them. Do you want to PM me with where you want me to send? Obviously your image goes a lot deeper than the Thompson/Bryan Charts (Naked eye chart - limiting magnitude 5 and Bino Charts limiting magnitude 9) but that's ok because you will be looking for anything that is brighter and not on the charts. And, seeing as you will spend time imaging the LMC & probably SMC you might as well use the charts to check naked eye and with Binos and pass the time. If you are really game, check your future LMC images against this "reference" image - but there are an awful lot of stars there, so look for anything unusually bright doesn't appear to be in your reference image, that will then warrant further investigation, a nova, a variable star perhaps supernova. Another thought might be some much shorter images of the LMC and SMC that could be used with the bino chart.
