The US S&T is no longer distributed to newsagencies in Australia - the last one was December of last year.
One of the reasons Australian Sky & Telescope has replaced the US edition in newsagencies is that each issue of the US edition would not appear in newsagencies until well after the 1st day of the cover month in question (ie. it would be late) - though a selection of shops got their copies airfreighted in. With AS&T, it's in newsagencies by the due date.
