Im eager to use my new 12inch scope
I hope you get a clear night next month then Sean Visitors are welcome to ASWA events providing they are keen astronomers, not just someone looking to have a good time at others expense. After a few visits people are expected to become members. So yes, he would be welcome. I would recommend contacting Rob via the ASWA site if attending.

I have, but imaging at the Zenith is actually more problematic than about 60-80 degrees, my preferred range. I tend to avoid objects at the zenith. At the zenith you get mirror flop with a SCT, and you get a bad neck and meridian-flip problems with a refractor on a GEM.
