I try to encourage all of my students, high school and apprentices, to buy an auto helmet they are the greatest thing since sliced bread. For years I fought to keep my manual helmet but I finally succumbed to pressure when one day I got to work and my welding shield had been removed and someone replaced it with an auto shield I used it and now I wont use anything else.
