Talia caves

Hi all.

The wife & I went for a drive up the coast towards Ceduna SA awhile back. The destination in mind was a place called Point Labatt. Situated here is a seal colony which we got to see, & plenty of seals. Took plenty of seal shots from a 60 ft cliff where they were all sunning themselves on the beach below.

On the way back from point Labatt we dropped into a place called Talia Caves. As the name suggests, theres caves there lol. Took a few shots there that I thought you might be interested in. This particular cave is called 'The tub'.....It's a huge round hole in the ground about 75 ft in diametre & 20-30 feet deep. At the bottom of this hole is a tunnel that leads to the ocean. Once you've reached the ocean, you can walk along the rocks under this huge over hanging cliff face....along the way there are at least 5 or 6 caves to inspect all at least 50-80 feet deep. If you get caught here in a high tide your a goner unless your a very good swimmer! In one cave people have carved their names in the walls dating back to the early 50s...Not sure if I like this idea..Kind of takes away from the surreal atmosphere felt when deep in a cave by youself (the missus was too scared to come with me lol)

A very very magical spot! One we intend to re-visit soon.
