Its an interesting and useful exercise to plot the field of view circles for your favourite eyepieces in your planetarium software of choice. Gives you some idea of just how much you can see with what initially sounds like a high-medium power eyepiece. You're effectively seeing everything zoomed in 2x, but still able to see almost as much as a low power eyepiece because of the wide FOV.
Also convinces me that I must never
ever look through an Ethos.....
