No. You haven't wasted your dough on the Cheshire.
Using it, will automatically set the "off-set" of the 2ndary.
I use the simple process of blue tacking a piece of white paper to the opposite
side of the focuser tube & collimating the 2ndary, first.
Once done, continue on with the primary.
Easy peasy.......
