Hmm? a fishing rod and a 6" refractor...what more does a man need ?...oh yeh nearly forgot
I had a mates Synta 6" Achromat (same as yours basically) side by side with my 6" Astrophyiscs Starfire EDF one night at my place in Canberra and I can tell you, sure, going back and forth visually the AP out performed the achromat but there wasn't that much in it really, the AP was worth 10X the Synta but there was only a few percent better performance. I am sure you will be very pleased with your scope Duncan
