You can't go wrong with either.
From memory, they're both the same sensor, but the body of the 20D is a lot better built. RB, if you're reading, chime in!
In the meantime, head on over to dpreview.com and use their side-by-side comparison tool for a specifications overview. Note: both cameras will appear in the discontinued models list.
