I had a closer look at this last night while playing with my new Bhatinov mask. The camera does of course cycle through 1x, 5x, 10x from the LCD buttons as Doug says. On the laptop, it opens in 1x, there's a button for 5x (doesn't have "5x" on it mind you...) and over to the right there's a check box for "200%" that gets you up to the final 10x view.
Magnifying software over the top wasn't overkill even on 10x I found too.....
