At least you have a unique NGC 253 to show off.
I've done a similar thing a few years ago but mine was using the ED80 on the moon.
It was extremely difficult to get the full moon in the fov, let alone focus, until I realised I had left the solar filter on from earlier in the day while doing some solar imaging.
