I was a subscriber to Night Sky, when I first got into astronomy (about 15 months ago). I got the 6 issues, and let my subscription die and didn't renew, but it was a great resource while I was learning.
I didn't renew mainly because of the overlap and because it stopped being as useful as it was when I was a newbie. However I'd still recommend it as a great magazine for those who are still new to the hobby. It's also at a very favourable price so it won't kill your wallet.
