Thanks Trevor, I haven't seen an estimate of size as yet but I think that many of the SL9 pieces were about 1 km across. From memory this scar may be just a little smaller. I would think the differential rotation combined with the variation in wind speeds further from the equator may cloud the issue a bit, regarding how any particular impact scar will evolve.

Thanks Dennis, I am very pleased with my 3x TV Barlow and the 30mm extension I turned up for it to work at a bit better than 5x. I was, initially, a little concerned at what effect this would have on the image quality, however considering the seeing last night I think the images for this animation came up quite well. Looking forward to what this setup may produce with some good seeing.
