I took my GPS out there today with the first trailer load of stuff. The
yard sits at 190m/625ft above sea level. The lookout must be about
410m/1345ft above sea level, the road over peaks about 390m and
the lookout has to be 10-20+m higher. I'm going to take my sons 8"
up there the first
opportunity I get
. Still pretty pleased how clear

the skies are from the backyard.

I have about 2 trailers and maybe a couple of car fulls
to go. Had to buy another car battery as mine died today Grrrr $130.00
later.... what happened to them $70.00 cheapies, I dont know. Still the
place is starting to look a bit more homely now that there is a few things
and furniture in there. I think we might be having a few Mallanganee
observing sessions up at the lookout
it's quite a bit of realestate
you can see Casino's light dome to the east, along with what must be
Brisbanes to the north. But I dont think it will efect the view above too
much.
Anyways chaps and chapettes I will probably be offline from tomorrow
while the PC is in some box somewhere. And the telephone is transfered,
numbers will remain the same.
I met one of the elderly neighbors yesterday, he is into amateur radio. I
might be dragging him along to to an observing session
