But to answer your question, the mount is rated to be powered from a DC (direct current) source (such as a car or deep cycle battery). In order to run it from the mains, you would need an AC to DC power supply to step down the mains voltage of 240volts down to 12 as well as "converting" the AC or alternating current waveform to DC.
