Oh, I envy you!! Can't wait to get a better scope/start logging. I am still beginning but found my first random cluster, by just scanning tonight. Not sure yet what it was, but I have the surrounding brighter stars memorised...
It only appeared as a smudge of light in my meager 3 1/2 refractor.
