Thanks Clive. I have had other bad nights but have always been able to solve the problem quite quickly. Will help with next time though.

Thanks Marcus. Not much you can do on one of these nights.
Knowing that you are loosing the uphill battle against your equipment is probably a good sign to pack it in and start over on the next clear night.
Even if you have to wait a couple weeks (maybe months) for it.
