Great work Mike.

Baz.
It's certainly different Bazza amd much more like painting as the narrow band king Fred has shown above

Yes, took me a while to warm to it Theo but once you have the filters and try it it grows on ya. That small scope of yours you purchased at Dick Smith's would produce some purlers for sure, do you have narrow band filters?

Fred's rework looks a bit like what it sounds like you nearly did Doug

ive given you plenty of praise for your images in the past.... will hold on to that for just now, it needs something done with the colors for me to like it.
No worries Clive this ain't no World standard image just a play around.....as I I do The thing about Narrow band imaging and PS is...almost anything goes, so don't take as gospel what you see in any narrow band image Clive.

I dunno, I've brought plenty of it up in the lasty week and I have grown quite fond of it..besides, it can't be too bad if you even occassionally resort to swallowing it

Yes I played with the variosu combo's I had put together - adding, averaging, blending and Ta da!

Oh and I love posting repro's just to annoy you Jase no seriously, It's fun going back over old data...you should try it

Yep! Of course it is Pauly, 35mm 11k chip + 1140mm FL = big field, Fred loves them

Hubble pallet hey Fred???? ok so what exactly is that??.. or are we perhaps kidding ourselves (like I do when I compare my shots to Hubble ) Seems this "hubble pallet" is a pretty loose term if ya ask me . It's kindergarten painting that's what it is (I find it pretty easy )

Oi, you have put halos around my stars...looks like one of your images now

Cheers Dave, yes the new low reflection Astronomiks are excellent, the 11.8nm band pass is perfect IMO, not too narrow to need really long exposures and wide enough for some stars to be visible but still keep the energy tight - totally recomend them
