Was walking out to my fishing position at 6.20 this morning and, as I was facing north, saw a most beautiful streak of light, It lasted for perhaps 3 seconds and the colour went from red/orange to yellow, then green and then fizzled out against the predawn sky...Angle was about 40-45 deg. and its direction was from north to east.
It was beautiful and bright...But what was it??
Thought it might have been an iridium flare, until I consulted Heavens Above, but nothing for that time, nor that northerly direction.
Anyone any ideas?
