I am with PeterM on this one. You sure your not my long lost cousin...
I have 4 telescopes around the house in every corner of my rooms.
My wife thinks I have gone bonkers
, but she tells all our friends that at least I am not up the pub blowing it.
I subscibe to 3 astronomy magazines and have piles of mags every where and 100's lent out to friends. We have 3 book cases and they are all full of astronomy related things.
I have Nasa original 60/70's prints of the Apollo program framed and hung everywhere, and spend at least 4 hours every day on astronomy web sites and forums.
I just spent 6 grand getting 8 super large iron barks removed proffessionaly from my property to make way for my new observatory( shhh. don't tell my wife what trees cost to get cut down) at least she will be happy now as I can get everything out of the house once its finished getting built , I think she is more happy about the observatory than me at the moment and getting her house back.
We had 8 friends over last night for BBQ and I try to not talk about astronomy as my wife has had enough
but everyone keeps asking me about this and that all the time, and when you throw some big numbers and terms at them the looks on their faces is priceless. I think a few more are starting to get interested now. More people to get hooked.
