We had a reasonable amount of rain last night (about 30mm), but I didn't get woken up by hail or anything so am not sure if it hailed.

From 8:30pm until 11pm I was actually in my observatory with the roof off taking snaps of Neptune! I had my obs PC doing the work and the laptop beside me showing the radar image to keep an eye on things. The southern suburbs were being belted at the time, but perfectly clear where I was. Of course it eventually moved in, sometime after I went to bed at 11pm.

Nice size stones for Perth! I'm used to having a lot of hail in Perth but only small stuff, almost like large snow. I'm glad we don't often get the big stuff

And yes, perhaps ironic that the first time I feel like being in my observatory and opening the roof in 3 months is when the city is hit by a storm ahh well, next storm due in a couple of months maybe

Roger.
