Thanks, mate. And, yes, you're right, any more up the top would have ruined the image as it was barren for a bit, and then some more dark green trees up the hill. Just wouldn't have fit.

I would love, love, /love/ to visit the northwest of USA. But, for now, New Zealand will have to do.

As much success as I had with my HDR work, I've given up on it entirely. I wish to learn how to create a similar effect by capturing light at the right time of day and doing as little as possible in post. I enjoy looking at other people's renditions in HDR, but, have stopped doing them myself.
